According to a new article on Time, dieters are actually fighting their own bodies when they lose weight. Studies have shown that as dieters lose weight, their hormones go into overdrive to make them eat more and slow down their metabolism to keep the weight on. Time states that as long as one year after you have successfully lost weight, your body is still producing these hormones to try and get the weight to stick back on.
